Acceptable Use Policy

Content rules for AI images on Uncroply, including prohibited categories, review, reports, and enforcement.

Last updated: 2026-10-06

This Acceptable Use Policy explains what you may not create with Uncroply, how we review images, how to report a problem, and what happens after a violation. It applies to every prompt you submit and every image the Service generates, edits, or stores.

This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It is not legal advice.

1. What this covers

  • Prompts you type or upload instructions for.
  • Images the Service generates or edits, including expanded and resized images.
  • Images you upload as the source for an edit.

Uncroply does not offer audio or video generation.

2. Prohibited categories

You may not use Uncroply to generate, edit, upload, or store any of the following. All six are prohibited. We do not offer an age-gated exception for sexual content.

  1. Sexual content / NSFW. Pornography, sexual nudity, and other sexually explicit images.
  2. Violence / gore. Graphic violence, gore, or images made to celebrate serious physical harm.
  3. Hate speech. Content that attacks or dehumanizes a person or group because of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or a similar characteristic.
  4. Child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Any sexual or exploitative content involving a person under 18, including fictional, cartoon, or AI-drawn depictions.
  5. Deepfakes / impersonation. A realistic fake of a real person, content that presents itself as someone else, and any sexual deepfake of a real person made without that person's consent.
  6. Copyright or trademark infringement. A copy of someone else's copyrighted work, or use of someone else's trademark, when you do not have the rights required to do so.

2.1 Zero tolerance

The following are removed as soon as we identify them. We may also report them to the relevant authority:

  • CSAM, or any sexual content involving a minor.
  • Content that promotes or assists terrorism, violent extremism, or mass violence.
  • Instructions for making a weapon of mass destruction.
  • Content that incites genocide or ethnic hatred.
  • A non-consensual sexual deepfake of a real person.

2.2 Other prohibited uses

  • Passing off an AI image as a photograph or as work made entirely by a person, in order to deceive someone.
  • Impersonating a real person, brand, or institution.
  • Generating spam, scams, or bulk deceptive images.
  • Prompts written to bypass the safety filter (jailbreaks).
  • Presenting an AI image as professional medical, legal, or financial advice.

3. How we review content

We review both the prompt and the image. We do not simply hand you an unchecked model output.

3.1 Automatic review

Each generation request is checked by the safety filter of the image provider that runs that request.

  • Input. The prompt is screened before an image is produced.
  • Output. The provider's safety filter can refuse a result. A refused result is not shown as a finished image.
  • Repeated abuse. We can see patterns such as many blocked attempts on one account.

The filter is the one built into the provider serving that request. It is not a separate product you can turn off.

3.2 Human review

  • A report sent to support@uncroply.com is read by Uncroply staff.
  • Content the filter flags and that still needs a decision is reviewed by a person before we suspend an account, except where the case is clearly L1 as defined below. L1 content is blocked immediately and then confirmed.

3.3 Sampling

We periodically look at blocked requests and reports so we can correct misses. We do not publish a third-party audit.

3.4 Severity

  • L1 — severe. Child safety, terrorism, or the other zero-tolerance items in section 2.1. The filter blocks these, a person confirms, and we close the account and report it where the law requires.
  • L2 — high. A confirmed serious violation that is not L1. We remove the content and suspend the account while we review.
  • L3 — moderate. A clear violation that is not an L1 or L2 case. We warn you and remove the content.
  • L4 — low. A minor violation found because someone reported it. We warn you and ask you to stop.

4. Reports

You can report:

  • Content or a prompt that breaks this policy.
  • Anything involving child safety or terrorism. Use the subject line "Urgent".
  • An image that impersonates you or infringes a right you hold.

We keep the reporter's identity confidential, except where the law requires us to share it. Each report is reviewed against this policy. Reports that are knowingly false may themselves lead to a warning or suspension.

5. Where to report

Email support@uncroply.com. This is the channel we monitor.

  • Subject Report for a policy violation.
  • Subject Urgent for child safety, terrorism, or a non-consensual sexual deepfake.

There is no separate report form. Please do not send the prohibited image itself if the law forbids possessing it. Describe the account, the time, and what you saw.

6. How fast we respond

  • L1: first response within 2 hours, action completed within 24 hours.
  • L2: first response within 24 hours, action completed within 3 business days.
  • L3: first response within 3 business days, action completed within 7 business days.
  • L4: first response within 5 business days, action completed within 15 business days.

If we need longer, we email the reporter and say why. The path is: we receive the report, assign L1–L4, review the prompt and image, decide, carry out the decision, and email the result when we have a way to reach the people involved.

7. What we do after a violation

We only use measures we can actually apply:

  1. Warning. A written warning asking you to stop. Used for a first minor violation.
  2. Removal. We delete the violating image from the Service. Used for a confirmed L3 or L4 case.
  3. Limit. We restrict generation on the account. Used for repeated minor violations or one L3 case.
  4. Suspension. We temporarily disable the account while we review. Used for L2 or for violations that keep happening.
  5. Permanent ban. We close the account. Used for L1, or for repeated L2 violations.
  6. Report to authorities. For an L1 case that breaks the law, we report it and cooperate with a lawful investigation.

8. Appeals

If you disagree with a decision, email support@uncroply.com within 14 days of the notice. Use the subject Appeal, and include the account email and the notice you received.

We answer within 10 business days. The appeal is a new review of the policy decision. It is not an automatic confirmation of the first outcome.

9. Changes

If we make a material change to this policy, we post it on this page at least 15 days before it takes effect and update the date above. Using the Service after that means you accept the updated policy.
